Prologue: New Members

Paradigm Shift Ministries Journeys New Members

This life is a journey, and one of the most important decisions each of us must make is where to put our faith and trust. Journeys (the ‘grow’ component of PrayGrowServe) exists to help people both grow in their faith and to learn how to express their faith with others. Whether you are completely new to Christianity or are already following Jesus and just want to learn more about Paradigm Shift Ministries, then this is where you will want to begin.

Stage One: It’s Time…

It’s Time… is a call to action. If you are looking for what it means to be a Christian and how to prepare yourself to put your faith into action, then this stage is for you. If the Christian faith is a living faith, then what we believe should affect the way we live.

Stage Two: We Are One

Stage two of Journeys is a plea for unity. The world we live in is divided now more than ever, but we are called to be peacemakers and bridge builders. This stage gives an overview of the elements of faith all Christians have in common. If we want to bring peace and unity in the world, then we must first learn how to model it in our own lives.

Bonus Stage: Fruit of the Spirit

The first bonus stage is a quick lesson on the Fruit of the Spirit, which are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. When broken down, these nine attributes give us clear and attainable goals for how we are progressing in our faith journeys. No matter who you are or where you live, we all can learn to grow in these nine areas.

Bonus Stage: Beatitudes

Bonus stage number two is all about the Beatitudes, which serve as the preamble of Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount. In Jesus’ own words, we get a glimpse into the characteristics He values most in His disciples by saying “Blessed are… the poor in Spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those who are persecuted and reviled.”
